ALIGN-CCUS will reduce uncertainties regarding the technical feasibility, cost and safety of marine CO₂ transport and injection into geological formations. The research team will consider the technological challenges of CO₂ shipping and offshore offloading allowing ALIGN-CCUS to create guidelines for the development of flexible transport and storage networks.
